Most of the significant shifts in my own leadership have not come from books or conferences. They have come from being in the room with someone who is actually doing what I had only read about, watching them navigate complexity with wisdom and grace, and having the kind of honest conversation that is only possible when you are standing in the middle of the thing rather than reading about it from a distance.

Church leadership conferences serve a genuine purpose. They surface new ideas, provide connection with peers, and offer frameworks that reshape the way a leader thinks.
But conferences have a structural limitation: They are primarily oriented toward information delivery.
