The Bible is full of examples of individuals who used their entrepreneurial gifts to advance the Kingdom. In this post, we’ll look at Lydia and the Apostle Paul, two figures who used their business ventures for the glory of God.
Lydia, a dealer of purple cloth, was a successful businesswoman who opened her home to Paul and the early church. Her resources and leadership played a crucial role in spreading the Gospel.
Similarly, Paul’s tentmaking not only provided for his missionary journeys but also created opportunities to interact with people in the marketplace. Both of these biblical figures were able to integrate their work and their mission, showing us that entrepreneurship is a legitimate and powerful way to serve God.
Like Lydia and Paul, modern-day Kingdom entrepreneurs are called to use their work as a platform for ministry. How can your church support and partner with these entrepreneurial leaders?
